Thursday was Frida & Diego Day, where students dressed up in flower crowns, suits, or both to honor the iconic Mexican artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera and celebrate Hispanic art and culture!
Check out our amazing 7th graders, Lizzy & Nora, and 8th graders Sal & Mia who rocked their Frida & Diego outfits!

This week, Mr. Venegas, who teaches Latin American History at Riverside Brookfield High School, joined the ALAS (Association of Latin American Students) club to share “The Legend of the Chocolate Tree,” a Mayan folktale. Students enjoyed the story along with hot chocolate and conchas! Big gracias to Mr. Venegas for making this a memorable experience!
