After 12 incredible years, we are saying a bittersweet goodbye to our amazing principal, Mrs. Gorman! 💙 Her genuine love and care for every student and teacher at Blythe has left a lasting mark on our school community. We are so grateful for everything she has given us!We are so excited for her next chapter as Director of Teaching and Learning! District 96 is lucky to be keeping her! Our 5th graders set sail on the Wendell’s Boat Tour for the ultimate end-of-year celebration! These incredible students have made us so proud, and we can’t think of a better way to send them off in style. We love our 5th graders! 💙

Our school honored Memorial Day with our annual flag ceremony, joined by our incredible Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, who proudly carried and placed our flag. Together, we laid flowers beneath it in tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. 🇺🇸❤️

A special surprise made our Cultural Celebration even more unforgettable.. a Bollywood dancer joined us for the night and had our students and families learning some moves! 💃🎶

What an incredible night at our Cultural Celebration! Seeing Blythe Park families come together to share their cultures, traditions, and heritage reminded us just how beautifully diverse and special our school community truly is. Every story, every dish, every tradition shared made our school feel even more like home. We are so grateful for each and every family who brought a piece of their world to share with ours! 💙💙

The Cardio Kids laced up for their final run of the school year, and what a year it has been! These incredible runners have put in the work, shown up, and given it their all — we couldn’t be more proud. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to cheer them on. From tiny caterpillars to beautiful butterflies, Mrs. Callahan’s first graders have been watching nature’s magic unfold right in their classroom! Today, they released their Painted Lady butterflies into the Blythe Park garden!! 🦋🌸

A huge thank you to the Blythe Park PTA for making Teacher Appreciation Week so special! 💙✈️ From delicious breakfasts and lunches to relaxing chair massages and thoughtful travel-themed treats, we felt truly celebrated all week long. The Chicago-inspired goodies—including Chicago Mix popcorn and Malört—added a fun local touch that made us smile! 😆🌆 We are so grateful for all of our Blythe Park families who make us feel valued, cared for, and ready to keep helping our students soar! Your kindness and appreciation mean so much. ❤️

Meet our new Blythe Park Principal, Chris Reid, at a community coffee event. Blythe families are invited to chat and connect with Mr. Reid on Monday, May 18, 8:15 am-9:00 am, in the Blythe Library. Visitors must check in at the main door with an ID.

Mr. Reid joins us from Hinsdale District 181 where he served for 8 years as a pupil services administrator. The interview team was most impressed with his warm and welcoming demeanor and his strong commitment to student centered learning and a positive school culture for all.
