Earlier today, the Special Olympics team competed in a basketball game against Brooks Middle School. Great job to all the Hauser students who participated!
We were so lucky to have Principal Ian and Principal Eric assume their roles as Hauser principals for the day! Throughout the day, Ian and Eric helped out in the office, delivered tasty treats to teachers, selected our passing period playlists, helped Hauser students select library books, and visited Central to spend time with the elementary school students and teachers. They also earned a special lunch that they got to share with a group of friends. Thanks Principal Ian and Principal Eric for all your hard work and help today!

Hauser teachers kept students guessing the whole week with their Underground Spirit Week. From pajamas to pop and rock artists' merch to pink and green to celebrate the Wicked movie, teachers dressed to impress in the best way imaginable in the final week before Thanksgiving Break!
Members of the Hauser Modeling Club used their skills and creativity to make scale models of aircraft, cars, figures, and scenery this trimester. Well done everyone!

Yesterday, the cast and crew of Murder on the Nile put on an unforgettable performance of Agatha Christie's "who-dunnit" murder-mystery. There are still two more chances to see our talented students perform:

Last Thursday, members of Hauser's Library Club helped deliver food to the Little Food Pantry at the Riverside Presbyterian Church. Students brought in donations and learned about the need in the Riverside area and how they might further help fight hunger in the community.
Hauser's Paw Prints TV visited RBTV this week! Students toured the facility, trained, and used the equipment to record their in-studio segments for Hauser's trimester news show. Our 8th graders had a great time!
Yesterday, 6th grade math teacher Mrs. O'Donnell hosted a Dunkin' Donuts themed classroom transformation to review for an upcoming decimals test. Mrs. O'Donnell has different themes for each unit and finds that these "transformations" are great ways to engage her students in learning. 🍩
Earlier today, Hauser hosted its annual Veterans Day Program to honor all the men and women who have served for our country. The program included musical performances by the Hauser Chamber Orchestra, a review of the military branches by 8th grade students, and an introduction of our veteran guests, who shared stories about their military service.

Picture Day is BACK!
If your child is part of the boys' basketball team or the cheer team, athletic pictures will take place Monday, November 10th.
If your child was absent on all-school picture day or would like a new picture, picture makeups and retakes will take place Wednesday, November 12th .
For absentee students, families can visit the Van Gogh website at www.ordervgil.com, select "Before Picture Day," and enter school code: 20016602 to place an order.
For students who want a retake, they are able to go to the camera set-up on retake day. If a picture package was previously purchased, the order needs to be returned to the photographers on retake day, and Van Gogh will print the original order using the retake image. Please know that the retake replaces the original image.

Stay gold, 7th grade! Our annual Outsiders day brought the greasers and Socs to life once again!
Earlier this week, Hauser’s new instructional specialist, Mrs. Klein, collaborated with students in Mrs. Nesler’s eighth-grade English Language Arts class as they engaged in a Socratic seminar on poetry.
Yesterday, the 8th grade girls' volleyball team battled the Hauser teachers in the annual Staff vs. Student Pink Out event. The match went to a third set, and the 8th graders narrowly defeated the teachers with a 17-15 final score.
